LET’S GET TO WORK

Originally, I'm from Half Moon Bay, CA. I left California at age 18 and traveled across the country to Rhode Island, earning a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design.

From there it was on to Atlanta, where I received a certificate of Art Direction from the Creative Circus and soon landed jobs as an Art Director (with stops in Florida, SF, Chicago and Boston). I've spent over 27 years in advertising, mainly as an art director, but also put in 2 years as a copywriter.

My work has aired on World Series, NBA Finals and Super Bowl telecasts, and been featured in The One Show, The Clios and Creativity. I've worked on such major brands as Polaris, Goodyear, Dunkin' Donuts, Buick, GMC, Taco Bell, KFC, MLB, Windex, Coors, Coors Light and Miller Lite. For the last eight year I jumped to the client side and helped build a fully integrated in-house ad agency at DraftKings delivering everything from national television to CRM and direct mail. Turning a team of 10 into close to 50.

My sports background gives me a "team player" attitude, and the stand-up comedy courses I took in San Francisco (plus the improv classes at Second City in Chicago) helped polish my presentation skills. I value ideas that are smart and strategic. And have been a leader to many students I have mentored, as well as, younger creative within the agency.
